About beach to beach with sands.
The idea for the beach to beach for Sands came about from completing the Longest Day Challenge which Nige rode for Cancer Research UK in 2025. Nige rode in memory of his son Leo, and wanted to do something each year to commemorate Leo’s passing.
Not wanting to jump on the ‘band wagon’ of Lands End to John O’Groats or try to emulate or replicate other long distance rides, the plan was to do a coast to coast with a difference! The other quest was to make this ride as accessible for as many riders as possible. For that reason, the ride is open to anyone with a 125cc on a CBT wanted to joint in they are more than welcome. Due to the length of the ride, 50cc vehicles are unfortunately not permitted.
Beach to Beach with sands are not only looking for riders, we are looking for organisers, media people, people to man the ‘check points’ and most importantly sponsors. Everyone is welcome.
